SEPA Direct Debit is available for events that are located within the Eurozone and have tickets being sold in Euros. It is enabled on an event by event basis. Once you have created an event, it is easy to start accepting SEPA Direct Debit as a payment method. Before accepting SEPA you should be aware of the risks involved in this payment method available here.
Note: In order to activate SEPA, a listing must be reviewed and approved at the discretion of our Support team. You must have successfully processed payments on your listing in order to be considered for review. If you have not yet sold tickets to your event, please wait until orders have been processed to submit your listing for review.
- Head to your event page and click on the 'Payments & Fees' tab in your event editor. Then, click on 'Payment Methods'.
- Click to toggle SEPA "on". SEPA Direct Debit is only available on Universe Payments.
- Remember to click 'Save' when you are finished
- Take a look at your checkout process for your event. Now you will see the option to pay with either Credit Card or SEPA Direct Debit.
Note: You’ll be able to see events transacting with SEPA in the Orders & Attendees section of Manage
Note: Refunds are handled like all other universe orders. Since the SEPA transaction can take a few days to settle, we will not allow refunding until that time. This prevents the organizer from accidentally refunding a ticket that they may never receive the funds for.
